IBIS F-PBSM (Rouen)
Homebuilders : Stéphane Malandain - Frédéric Barbeau
Equipped with a VW 1870 CC - Normal cruise speed 200 km/h (108 Kts) at 65% of power.

IBIS F-PBIS (Rochefort)
Homebuilder : Jack Verger
Under construction - Will be equipped with a VW LIMBACH 2000 CC.
"My IBIS is almost ready to receive his VW engine. Out of this picture, the main wings are already painted!"
Two months later...
...with the help of our friend Bernard Couton, engineer, we have fit the VW and the upper cowling!
Test flight completed, French airworthiness obtained - April 28, 2002
The first flight has been made by Jean-Claude JUNQUA himself.
At the French European Rally of Chambley (2002, July), the aircraft received the "Better Construction on Plans" award.
On Nov. 1st, 2002, the F-PBIS was already upon 110 flight hours.
First IBIS in the world now equipped with "Jabiru 2200cc" Engine.

IBIS F-PMIL (St Jean d'Angely)
Homebuilder : Pierre Millot
Equipped with a VW 1835 CC. Normal cruise speed 200 km/h (108 kts) at 65% of power.
Pierre Millot - St Jean d'Angely, France
IBIS F-PGLP (Nantes)
Homebuilder : Henri Galipot
Equipped with a VW 1835 CC. Normal cruise speed 200 km/h (108 kts) at 65% of power.
After four years of construction my IBIS received its French Airworthiness Certificate on 19 july 2006.
Since then there have been some modifications to the V.W 1835cc engine and, on Bernard Couton's advice, we have increased the power using a Weber 40-DCOE carburettor. In addition to the single magneto we have add an single electronic ignition circuit and now give us a full dual ignition. Power rise now to 68 HP !!!
Maximum level airspeed is 248 km/h (134 kts), and trials with a slight higher pitch propellor increase it to 254 km/h ( 137 kts).
Having seen these results, I am glad that I scrupulously followed everything in the designers' plans. With my professional engineering and aeronautical background I can appreciate the difficulties and years of hard work undertaken by designers to reach this stage. Do not underestimate how easily one can destroy the qualities and stability of the Canard design by making unauthorised aerodynamic modifications !.There are absolutely prohibited. !!!
I now fly my IBIS frequently, sometimes accompanied by my nephew "Freddy" who is a student pilot at the Aeroclub. The machine is remarkably stable, feels like a modern glider and is very pleasent to handle. Visibility is a dream and the 12.8 l/h (3.38 US gallons) at 215 km/h ( 116 kts) is gentle on my wallet.
A big "Thank You !" to Roger and Jean-Claude JUNQUA and all their staff for giving us this machine.
Since October 2008 I am now flying my IBIS F-PGLP with the same VW 1835cc but now equipped with "Full Dual Electronic IGNITION". This IGN, "BOUTIN" type, is made in France. I am very happy with it, as it gives increased power with some fuel flow reduction.Henri Galipot - Nantes, France

This IBIS has now carried out is first flight on September 4, 2010 on Lelystad Airport (EHLE).
Congratulations to Hans and his test pilot.
Hans Holsink very concented on is IBIS during this first take off on grass RWY.
Here the IBIS of Hans on approach at TEXEL airport (north of Netherland) at the end of his first cross country flight in Netherland.

This IBIS is in October 2007 ready to start the test Flights on LESCE-BLED, grass Rwy, airport.
Janez Pintar has make is first flight on 9 February 2008. At the end of March all test flights are practically completed !!!
IBIS F-WDZN - SWITZERLAND)
Homebuilder : Peter Danzeisen
Peter Danzeisen (left) with help of Jacky Blanchard builds an IBIS, Jabiru 2200 cc equipped, in St Jean de Gonville near GENEVA.
Peter Danzeisen very concentrated before his first rooling. After some « go and back » on RWY few minor rudders adjustements where required.
On afternoon some rooling tests. The speed reach today was 43 kts. No shimmy, engine runs fine and brakes are excellent. Peter seems to be very happy. Champagne and congratulations to Peter.
Some news after the first take off.

IBIS N 4094 Y (Santa Clara)
Homebuilder: Dermot Doyle
Equipped with a VW 1915 CC
"I have recently (July 4, 2000) flown the 40 hours phase 1 test flying as required to obtain a special airworthiness certificate. I may now fly wherever I please - and what a pleasure it is.
Once at perhaps 2500 ft altitude above the usually bumpy air over the hot San Juaquin Valley, the aiplane trims out for hands off flying. I am looking forward to explore all the capabilities this aircraft has to offer.
I will now visit my children, looking down at the crowded and envious motorists on the highway below."
